The kennels are owned and run by Kimberley and Peter, built to their high specifications as new in 2007.
The kennels have been designed using one of Cretes' finest architects and we researched and included some of the best (practical) ideas from England, Germany & America.
The kennel sizes are at least 3 times those recommended in Australia !
We have a full licence and have been inspected by the Rethymnon and Heraklion Authorities - indeed, our standards were taken up by the Rethymnon Province as their new standards for all licenced boarding kennels in the area.
The site itself was chosen after 18 months of travelling all over the north coastal area to find the 'dream' site - flat and surrounded by trees.
The site of over 7000 sqm is completely fenced for the full use of the dogs and inlcudes our own woodland area (the Dell) where we can sit and talk to you dogs, even in the heat of the day.
We only have 10 bedrooms, specifically limited so that the dogs in our care have individual attention - as they would do at home.
The site is sub-divided into four fenced paddocks for use, depending on the weather and the dogs. We walk and play with them 4 times a day and, unlike other kennels, we are with them at all sessions and NEVER put dogs together - there is always a fence between them. So they can associate without any possible problems.
We live on site, the house is attached, with 24 hour full security lighting across the site and on the access road.
We have our own registered Vet (on call 24hrs/day) but would be pleased to use your own vet if available - the vets throughout the island know of our reputation and support/recommend us to their clients.
Should your dog be on any medication, we will administer tablets, injections as necessary but will also check these out and let you know of any recommendation. The same goes for any feed you are using - we check out the balanced feed for your dog, its age and weight.
Yes, we are protective of your dogs - it's what they deserve while you are away - end he/she will be relaxed but still pleased to see you on your return and also pleased to come back to us in the future.
* Called this as part of our Licence application as some authorities did not know what a Boarding Kennel was
